Does anyone have any experience with these amps? I am looking at purchasing one, although they are expensive they are suppose to be one of the best in quality.

* All-parts Jazz bass neck
* OLP Stingray body.
* Ernie Ball Stingray pickguard
* GFS alnico Stringray pickup
* Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 active pre-amp
* (2) 9-volt battery boxes
* Schaller tuning keys
* Stock bridge, with Yamaha bridge saddles (to fix the alignment problem with the strings over the pickup polepieces).

It sounds excellent. Very punchy!

Comment by Toby Rider on October 10, 2008 at 6:09pm: Surprising isn't is for just being an inexpensive OLP body. I bought it from a guy over in Grand Prairie for $50. I figured that if I didn't like the body I could sell it for what I paid for it on Ebay. The neck pocket fits the jazz bass neck perfectly! So I lucked out.

OLP's aren't being made any more, so I've thought about snagging one of the OLP 5-strings on Ebay, and keeping it in the closet for a while.
